Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Unravl ("the Service"), operated by RetZero (ABN 79 112 474 295), Brisbane QLD 4000, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Unravl is a voice note processing application that converts audio recordings into structured data including tasks, events, notes, and grocery lists. The Service uses third-party AI models to process audio and text.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account and notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

4. Subscriptions, Billing and Add-on Packs

Unravl offers a 7-day free trial and paid subscription plans. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in Australian Dollars (AUD) through Stripe. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by Australian Consumer Law. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and it will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

In addition to subscriptions, Unravl offers one-time add-on packs that provide a fixed number of additional unravls valid for a set period (24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days from purchase). Add-on packs are available to all users including those on the free plan. Pack purchases are one-time charges processed through Stripe and are non-refundable. Unused unravls from a pack expire at the end of the pack's validity window and are forfeited with no compensation. Pricing for add-on packs is listed on our pricing page.

5. Referral Program

Unravl offers a referral program where existing users can invite others to join the Service. When a new user signs up using your unique referral link and completes their first unravl, you receive a one-time bonus of 35 unravls, which expire 30 days from the date of credit. Referral bonuses are non-transferable and have no cash value. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the referral program at any time. Abuse of the referral program, including creating fake accounts or self-referrals, may result in forfeiture of bonuses and account termination.

6. Fair Usage Policy

Our subscription plans include daily usage limits as described on our pricing page. We reserve the right to monitor usage patterns and, at our sole discretion, limit or suspend usage that we determine to be excessive, abusive, or significantly above typical usage patterns. In such cases, we may contact you to discuss an appropriate resolution. Abuse of this policy may result in suspension or termination of your account.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or subscription restrictions
• Upload audio containing harmful, abusive, or illegal content
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Use automated means to access the Service beyond normal usage patterns

8. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all structured data (tasks, events, notes, grocery lists) generated from your voice recordings. Audio recordings are processed in real-time and immediately discarded — we do not store your audio. We retain all rights to the Service itself, including its software, design, and branding. We do not claim ownership of your content.

9. Warranty Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and we make no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we will not be liable for any interruptions or errors. The Service uses third-party AI models to process your voice recordings and generate structured output. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies and should be reviewed by you. We are not responsible for any issues arising from AI-generated content.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, regardless of the form of action or the basis of the claim, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply to you. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the six months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Unravl, its operators, officers, employees, agents, and assigns, harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, or any violation of these Terms of Service.

12. Modification and Discontinuation of Service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service, or any portion thereof, at any time without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Australia.

16. Refund Policy

Unless otherwise required by applicable law (including Australian Consumer Law), all sales are final and there are no refunds.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between you and Unravl regarding the use of the Service.
